I ordered this Denali 6 months ago! Finally came in last week. Very impressed do far. Got the Duramax engine. Dealer even honored my retiree discount :-)

Looks like a very nice vehicle. Enjoy it!

Stunning! Almost too nice to use and enjoy

Nice. These are great trucks. I'm driving an Escalade at the moment (same platform) and it's a really nice vehicle.
|
Beautiful Truck, Congratulations. I was looking to upgrade my 2015 Denali XL back in December but every dealer around me wanted $10,000 OVER list price, $25,000 for an Escalade Platinum XL so I passed. I found a dealer in LaPorte Indiana back in January that would sell me one @ list, but it had $5500.00 worth of Brembo Brakes and Borla exhaust on it that I didn't need.

I was interested in getting the duramax in a Tahoe but the dealer is getting very few Tahoes in. Bad thing I dont like about the Tahoe is parking it. I have a crew cab truck and this is as wide as the truck and parking sometimes is annoying. Along with the mileage.
I drove a half ton truck with the diesel and impressive motor. |
I like the flag idea. I use a tennis ball.
|
Nice! I have a 2018 in the same color and it is the best vehicle I have ever had. 89k miles and the only thing I've had to do is put a thermostat in it. Curious how you will like the Duramax vs. the 6.2 gas.
|
I have a '21 Tahoe Premier and it's a great vehicle.

bought my truck over the phone easiest purchase I ever had on a vehicle. |
I took delivery of my 2021 Suburban High Country in Feb 2021 after an 11 week wait. It has the 6.2 and I love it.

I have a 2019 Escalade with about 26K miles with no issues. Our 4th Escalade. Not one issue with any of them.Tom

Glad that you had good experience with your Escalades Tom. I traded my 2018 in on this Denali. It was a nightmare for repairs (GM did cover under warrantee though). Lots of problems with the front 4 wheel drive - they finally replaced the entire unit. Also, adaptive cruise control kept dropping out - after several unsuccessful "repairs", they finally replaced the sensor unit & bracket. I loved the power and ride of the Escalade though.

Nice!!! Been thinking of ordering one of those myself Bruce.
I picked up this Red 21 GMC back in July and it's my second truck in a row having a 6.2 which is just awesome. This one now has about 10K on it. Also picked up a new trailer last week and now I'm thinking I might just need a Denali in Black. https://i.ibb.co/PYMqG9H/IMG-1094.jpg |

I was thankful I didnt trade in my '18 with all the uncertainty (at our company) and then that happened to his sealed the deal on me holding out. I have 27k trouble free miles so far on the '18, racked up a bunch picking up my 68. |
I’ll pile on a little. I was consistently buying Duramax diesels and at 50,000 on my last one the head gasket went out. Not sure if anyone’s had that issue but in the repairing side of things they remove the entire cab of the truck to repair the head gasket. When I questioned the service manager while they’re in there if you will can they do the other side he said no and then if it were to fail I could bring it back under warranty. It’s the last GM product I have purchased

Can't say I've been unhappy with any of my last 5 GM trucks.
Twenty years straight of running new trucks and not one has been in the shop for any kind of serious repair. Something to be said in that right there! |

Now that is a very nice SUV ! ... :flag: ... |
I remember seeing fords having the cab removed several years ago with all the problems they were having in the early 2000s and thought that was crazy but they said that was the easiest way to work on them. I have had a new duramax 4x4 crew cab every year since 2009 and had not one problem. Other than tried to trade now and the dealer cant get many in. They dont get a lot of miles but not even had a recall that I remember.
I lost track of the recalls on my 2021 Tahoe. Last one was the rear headrests. Service manager said the set I was to get were like the 4th update and before they put them on he said they had a notice they were going to have another update and I never did get a set. I dont sit back there so no big deal. I do like how the Tahoe rides, just a pain to park |
Congratulations!
The Duramax I6 is a very impressive engine. At idle, it's almost as quiet as a gas engine and the low-end torque gives it excellent performance in day-to-day driving. I'd be hard pressing not to go with the Duramax if I was towing. |

We take cabs off of GM and Ford trucks all the time, Diesel or Gas, it beats leaning over fenders. It usually takes us about 2-2.5 hours to remove a Cab including recovering the A/C charge |

Yes it was designed into the service procedures. That goes as far back as 1999 when I sent 3 of my techs through Ford's Power Stroke Certification program.

You’ll love it. Used ones are doing over list at the sale. We’re one of the only dealers not marking them up. We can’t get enough new ones and refuse to gouge our customers/owners by selling them for over what we feel is a fair price. Our’s is a family owned dealership and we really try to do what’s right. That new engine is one helluva unit. So far, zero complaints and virtually no warranty issues on the ones we’ve sold. By the way, we have orders in our order bank that are over six months old…you did well.

a lot of problems with the cam phasers on the late model F150s, have to tear the whole front end of the engine apart, major surgery. Ford pulls the cabs off to ease getting to the engine
