'71 Corvette, #s LT-1
Neat car, and if that paint is original, I'd leave it as is. Cool ride for $32k.

I want to thank you guys for posting this car. Yes, this car belonged to a very close friend of mine who died of cancer in the mid 2000s. Her name was Barbera Herman and was my 4th grade school teacher back in the 1970s. She lived here in NJ and taught school with my brother and became really in love with corvettes. This LT1 does have the original paint and those rivets showing in the nose were like that in the mid 1990s when the attached pictures were taken. He doesn't mention paperwork but when Barbera owned it all the original docs were with car. Barbara moved to Idaho in the early 2000s becoming involved with the Idaho Steel heads semi pro hockey team taking this car with her. When she passed my brother and I never knew where this car went but now, we know. What really brought tears to my eyes is if you look at the passenger side fender in one of the close-up shots, there is still a dog pawl mark on from when we done a car show together back in 1995 at the Collingswood Day and a fellow walking his dog stopped to look at the car and his big dog on a leash jumped up on her fender leaving that mark. Lots a great memories here and thanks a bunch for the post

Wow, great story. We see these cars and really don't know the history behind them.
|
Great story indeed.Like people these old cars have a history to tell.

I assume some sort of delamination? |

That is neat having a history, but the car appears so clean and straight, that it deserves a high end paint job. I know a survivor is a survivor, but that paint would too far gone for me to live with.
