The one and only built special for Pete Estes Chevrolet GM. Lots of stories over the years. One being that the original paperwork was unfortunately stolen while the car was at a show.

The Z28 owner Dave Lindsley was a long-time member and a wonderful guy, he passed away a few years ago and is sorely missed RIP my friend. Looks like specification chart has a mistake Lbs per Hp should 11.36 for the Camaro. Maybe some other figures are incorrect :)

Thanks for posting Steve! Dave was an awesome friend. We will be visiting his wife over Christmas-as we try to do every year.... :beers:

My pleasure Marc, I love reading those old articles and seeing what I missed out on since I wasn't born until 1972. I'll be finishing up the Car Life articles this week and starting of High Performance Cars next week so there will be a LOT more coming soon. I wish the quality of the scans was a little better but it's ten times faster to do it from my phone instead of my printer and I wouldn't have enough time to do that until I'm retired.
