Too bad, if it was a Bel Air wagon instead of a Malibu, I'd be interested....:haha:

looks like something this guy may have owned...

Ad says Malibu, but that's a full size Chevy.

Yes, that's what I was kidding about in my post above. Seller is obviously clueless.

That danged camper intrigued me and I looked at it a couple times. Good thing it wasn't close and now it is sold.

Thanks, Bruce...you're good at stirring up trouble ...
They are kinda cool and the links are of nice examples. My wife saw the dilapidated one and said quote " don't you dare by some piece of junk like that"...
The last time I defied that statement, she didn't talk to me for a full week. That was 16 years ago and I, sort of, learned my lesson.

The '64 Malibu I dragged home last spring would have been labeled the same, but she wasn't there to say it so that didn't count...

Doh! I never said I was smart.

Mitch, no problem! :naughty:

I could see this sitting under an Almond tree very soon. :)

I'm missing something. That camper isn't light - how is it attached to the wagon?
Like using a Vega to tow a car trailer - mismatched and overwhelmed. That wagon has to be sitting on the suspension stops.

In other pics, it appears the lower gate is left on for support and the upper window is removed so the camper can slide in to the roof and sit in the floor/gate. There is, also, a roof support that appears to clamp to the roof rail and the topper attaches to that at the front. Yes, it will be heavy as hell and the wagon would need helper springs on the shocks and maybe C10 springs, if they would interchange...

Mitch, maybe if you show your wife it can be turned into a vacation cottage she would be more receptive. LOL

I saw that, Jon and I like it, but the first thing she would ask is "where's the bathroom". We are rather spoiled with our self contained trailer.
