As a continutation of the discussion of this thread on the auction of "Blueberry"

Coincidently, shortly after this auction ended I was contacted by Kollin Handler from RM Sothebys. He is a pre merger AMG guru and has been following these cars for a while. He was putting together a reunion of the cars and employees from that era. https://233west.com/

The reunion was this past weekend at various locales in the north shore of the Chicago suburbs. Kollin did a magnificent job organizing and coordinating a 3 day event with attendees from all over the world that came in for this. I was only able to attend the Saturday night dinner so I did not get any car pics (there was a roud tour and car show as well). Fuelfed provided coverage of the event

There was lots of reminiscing and stories from back in the day.

I used to be a Benz guy. Did you buy Blueberry? It's definitely a cool classic Benz.

I did not buy Blueberry. I was around it a bunch when I worked there.

Yes Richard was there - the guest of honor. I sat with Stretch at dinner Saturday night - was hoping you might have been there as well. I wasn't able to make it Friday and missed out on seeing Kelly and Rich.

Cool coverage, Jake, thanks - looks like a fun one!

Jake, post up that pic of you and Dad at the AMG driving school circa 1986,87?
I still remember you guys showing me all those "expired" brake pads!

Chris Schwingle sent these......at dinner Saturday night he reminisced about having to run out to get brake pads and rotors for many of the cars as they were going through them like hotcakes.

Bill S - I think that is one of your "life begins at 150" shirts from back in to day.
