New TV Show: "Rides" on TLC
 

Guys,
There's a new show on the learning channel tonight. I think it's on at 8, but it could be 9 PM.

It's called "RIDES" - hosted by Jason Priestly. I think they do Hot Rods, but they might also be doing musclecars.

Hmmmm.... a good show... but too much on Ferds... uh....Fords... I actually dozed-off after the Carroll Shelby segment was over.... missed almost the whole 2nd half! It bites to be over 40 yrs old!

Gotta Agree. That new shelby is "sweeeeeet". Although I am a chevy man to the core, you gotta give it to ford. They are positioned to rule the muscle car market, such as it is. Now, if we could just get chevy to produce a 05 camaro based on the 69 with that ZZ502...........

Perhaps I missed it. I was in a drooling stupor when they rolled it off the truck. Did they say who owns the 1st Cobra? Do I assume Shelby has it?

I thought the show was excellent. It took us inside the workings of a major auto manufacturer and the process of developing a new car from scratch.

I agree Ford is doing it right. They are building exciting cars like the new Mustang, 500HP GT40, and now the 600HP new Cobra. They are also keeping connections to the legends like Carroll Shelby. I think Chevy could learn some valuable lessons from Ford in this regard.

I would love to see them bring back the Camaro but not like they did with the GTO.

I though it was a good show. I liked that wall size 3D 1 to 1 scale CAD screen

I agree, Speedrx.
As much fun as the new GTO is, it has that "generic jellybean" styling that even a Merc. Sable sports! Ugh.

In 2005, Pontiac is adding hood scoops and more throwback add-ons. let's see how they do next year.

Hey Guys, There's a new show starting on Jan. 16th on The Discovery Channel-- it's called "American Hot Rod" but I'm certain they'll probably spotlight some muscle. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif

Also, if you get the "Do It Yourself" network (DIY) you can watch "Classic Car Restoration" on Sunday nights.

Of course SPEED has a few good ones as well.
