AMC SC/Rambler AIR Team car

Thank you Xplantdad (Bruce) for all your help on the picture posting. Grasshopper learned well.

Here is the history on how this car came to be: http://www.ramblerrogue.com/maverick.htm

This car was one of James Garners American International Racing (AIR) team cars. They had ten and only two were 4WD.

Hope you guys can expand your horizons and enjoy this one, it's a real oddball.

Engine was set back over a foot to compensate for the added weight in the front from the 4WD differential. Check out the modified firewall and radiator set back.

Ron Popiel here folks...you may remember me from the Pocket Fisherman.

Well it's almost 2006 and do we have something for you it's a:

storage unit
snow plow
barbers chair
black thing thats needs polishing once a week
fantastic investment

You could go to Barrett and buy a red one with all the hype for God knows how much from the gold chain, need TV exposure crowd (oh sh#t that's the prototype, I gotta have it) or you can call.....

1-800-Charley and get yours today

What the hell was I thinking, we needed to get:

the car
two motocross bikes
our gear, stands, fuel jugs and tool kits
fourteen R/C airplanes
set of wheels

That was one full trailer and a very patient Mr Lillard. I appreciate your help reconfiguring the shelf unit. Customs was a riot. Hey if I keep buying Charley's cars and take pictures in front of the mezzanine people won't be able to tell us apart. That's a scary thought.

Have a great day, Fred

Well if its a black Yenko Turbo Z, it may be the one that a carclub friend of mine bought new back in CT. I think I still have photos of it somewhere from way back when, in 1984 or so?

Its the whale tale Motion converted car. At least it has a decent owner now. Tha car has more switches and gadgets... I think Charley sold it because it was too complicated for him to operate!
