Pics of my very first Car/Chevelle
Well hear she is....I just pulled out my 1972 out of storage yesterday and thought I`d share these pictures with everyone. I have owned this Chevelle since 1978. I learned how to drive, race, get tickets, etc. with this car. Priceless memories.
The car has been through many changes...I`m amazed that I and the car have survived together with all the crazy times I have had behind the wheel. Currently the car sits with it`s 1984 circa Lacquer Pearl White paint. All original body car...except Glass Hood and new front fenders in 1984. I plan on finishing the restoration....Yeah I know...I`ve been saying that for over 20 years. The last time the car was registered was 1986. It`s been in storage for over 20 years...where did the time go? As you can see by the pictures, I built the car to race in what was then the all new NMCA Fastest Muscle Car Drags. But as we all have heard this one...."The project fell apart" I got married! Perhaps I will re-paint the car back to it`s original color of Mohave Gold. I welcome any idea`s from all members as to: "What type of Restoration would you give her" Color, wheels, resto-mod, etc. Enjoy the pics. Dan. O.K. I`ll tell a few tales....Our usual summer Saturday nights were burrying the speedometer at 120mph plus on I-294S between I-55 and 95th street exit on our way to "Dukes Drive-In". When I would do this I usually had two or three passengers. What an adrenalin rush this was. Then we would make these Home made Movie`s....remember when the cam-corder was the size of luggage and it was on beta tape. We would go wild and crazy when the camera was rolling. I'd go modified and finish the dream of the chevelle that would beat the lil-red corvette with nos.(original is boring how many more unmodified cars can we see! Plus it will cost less to finish.)

What is the "tube" running the length of the rear. Almost looks like heim ends, but hard to see. Does brake line run tbru thisand the tube just "cleans" it up?

You have enough parts to put two cars together..... plan a weeks vacation from everybody else's car (mine included) and pop this one together :-)
