69 superbee value
Does anyone know what the approximate value of a 69 Superbee with a 383 and 4speed? It is a survivor with all the original drive train and interior. It has had a repaint in the mid 90's. A friend of mine passed me the info that it is for sale, but I know next to nothing about mopars. He is asking $20k.
Thanks. |
Re: 69 superbee value
PRICE ON THESE CARS VERY ALOT ON THE OPTIONS (N-96 AIR GRABBER) BUCKET SEATS, CONSOLE, ALSO ORIGINAL BODY STEEL, PARTS ARE VERY HARD TO FIND FOR THESE, RESALE RED OR GREEN ALSO MAKES A BIG DIFF, 20K IS NOT OUT OF LINE IF THE CAR IS A 4 SPEED ALL THERE AND PRESENTABLE, BUT THESE CARS TEND TO BE A BIT CHEEPER THAN AN EQUAL ROAD RUNNER.

Re: 69 superbee value
20k dont sound bad but its not a survivor! So many people say they have a survivor car with 1 repaint. If its repainted then its not a survivor. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: 69 superbee value
lets here some of its options..

Re: 69 superbee value
Ok - I guess by survivor I meant rust free and never modified or restored. Here is what I was told for options - B-5 blue, buckets (white interior), pistol grip shifter, 3.23 posi, and ram air hood.

Re: 69 superbee value
Not sure the pistol grip was offered in '69.

Re: 69 superbee value
Pistol Grip came out in 1970.

Re: 69 superbee value
A B5 blue 69 Super Bee with white bucket seat interior and 4 speed is worth $20K all day long in my book https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif

Re: 69 superbee value
right on bill, any B Body with white guts and a 4spd with no rust is worth 20K!

Re: 69 superbee value
Hey Don, when did you become the Muscle car police on here and on PY? We all know what a survivor is. This SuperBee sounds like a great deal, a 383 4 speed Plum crazy RoadRunner sold at BJ for around 80,000

Re: 69 superbee value
sounds like the deal of the day to me...

Re: 69 superbee value
Thanks everyone. What and where are the codes that I would need to check to verify that the stuff is original?
I am going to look at this car on wed. |
Re: 69 superbee value
Its' VIN will be visible through the windshield on the drivers side. It has an inner fender data tag on the top of the drivers side inner fender. There is a hidden vin on the left side of the rad support on the rad side (usually partial vin). Also a hidden vin on the trunk weatherstrip rail on the left upper side before the bend to around the front of the trunk. You have to lift the strip to see it. A real Bee will start its' VIN w/ WM. Next 2 number denote hardtop 21 or sedan 23. Next letter is engine code, H = 383, J = 426, M = special order code. Next number is year, in this case 9 for 1969. Next letter is plant of origin. Last six is sequential build number. Here is what it could possibily look like -

Re: 69 superbee value
get the fender tag info and post the option codes or a photo, if you dont have the info, i or someone here will decode the tag for you.

Re: 69 superbee value
That was my old Road Runner that sold at B-J for $71.5K, it was an automatic.

Re: 69 superbee value

Unfortunately I could not square away the financing to go after this car. If anyone is interested, pm me and I will send you the contact info for the car. Thanks to everyone for their help.

Re: 69 superbee value
Officer Don,,,, I agree,, a full repaint, takes away 100% survivor... Also it sounds like a great car... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif
