50 Years Ago Today an Amazing Journey Began

50 Years ago today my car was picked up at the dealership Jay Chevrolet. The original owner Bill Miller had his friend Paul Micarelli (who became the second owner) drive him to the dealership which happened to be a Friday evening. It was a clear dry day with a temperature about 60 degrees. Paul’s ride was a white 64 Chevrolet Bel Air, equipped with a 6 cylinder and three on the tree, outfitted with chrome reverse wheels. Paul & Bill worked at a local supermarket, and after they finished at 5pm, their journey began. As they got closer to the dealership their excitement grew, they couldn’t seem to get there fast enough.
Once at the dealership, the salesman took them straight back to a small garage in the rear of the building; most likely the new car prep garage. As they laid eyes on the car their eyes began to bulge, mouths opened and were literally in awe of what they saw a gleaming bright orange Z28 . After finalizing the paperwork, they left with Bill proudly thrashed his car all the way home to show family and friends in Turnersville. Paul did his best attempting to keep up but his car, but was no match for the newZ28 and new owner driving the car like he stole it….. The only missing link is to reconnect with the original owner William J. Miller who lived at 13 Gray Birch Rd. Turnersville, NJ. https://www.hotrod.com/articles/two-...8-owned-1970s/ Bill is on the left, and Paul on the right. |
Congrats Steve,excellent heritage.
Which one in that photo is Bill Miller?..and don't say the one with long hair, reaching out with a Mustache & Beard. ;) |
Assuming Bill Miller is the one pictured in the driver's seat of the Camaro, I'd say he's the one on the right in the photo of the two guys.
