FW rally wheels
Looking for a set of 4 15 x 7 FW rally wheels for my 1970 Monte Carlo. Not too concerned with date codes.
|
At least some early MCs used YH wheels.
|
William, I did not know that. I would guess that YH would be much harder to find.
|
And much more expensive.
FW set of four pops up from time to time. Last set I sold, I only got $200 for the set. |
Not really. The MC YH dates don't work for late production Camaros.
When we had the business, we stopped taking FWs in trade. Way too easy to find. |
I concur; those wheels are not hard to find, at all. I always pass them up when seen or offered.
You should have no problem finding some locally. They would cost more to ship to you from here that they would (should) cost, IMHO. Good luck with your project! Anthony |
Since i am fairly sure that I may not find date correct wheels I may just opt for a set of new reproduction wheels. There really isn't anywhere near me to buy old parts like this and ya'll are correct that shipping would be expensive.

Personally, I would rather restore an original set that buy the aftermarket stuff.
There has to be a bunch of old Montes, Chevelles and El Caminos in Georgia with rally wheels. Hard to believe none are for sale. I would drive two to three hours to purchase originals. JMHO. |
Here are some in Greenville (have no clue where that is).
https://greenville.craigslist.org/wt...607114794.html High on the price (and maybe on something else), but he will likely come down once he sees no one will pay his ask. |
I have 2 sets in chicago, theyre on tires. $350 for a set of 4. No trim rings or caps. 708-287-2914
