Paint ?
I don't see a section for painting or finding restoration paint. I'm looking to get a correct color, single stage urethane in Rinshed-Mason 66B84, Dark Fawn for 1966 Chevelle interior.
Anyone have a source for this ? |
You really need to take a piece of the exact color paint from the car and have it matched to an original piece - preferably something which was not exposed to sunlight etc... the back of a molding perhaps.

Car had black interior. Doing the color change, because I don't like black and the fawn looks much better with the Aztec Bronze.
So, the paint doesn't need to match anything, just be a close facsimile to the original Dark Fawn and be single stage urethane. |
I did a color change on a dash once and out here in Seattle, I went to Wesco Autobody Supply and they looked up the color in an old DuPont book and then mixed it and I was all set. Expensive as is all paint with reducer and hardener, but perfect color match to original. Maybe call them and they'll ship to you? https://wescopbe.com/
Good luck |
Well, Wescopbe can't find any reference to any of the 3 codes I gave him for the Dark Fawn paint ???
|
Dupont paint code 9275-L
|
Does anyone have a Sikkens Code for 1970 Forest Green ?
