1967 Corvette Small Block Coupe

I've been looking for a 1967 small block coupe for about two years now. You'd think this would be a no brainer to find, but the more I searched, the more I realized these cars are difficult to find. My guess is that many have been upgraded to big block cars and restomods.

I wanted a good car to drive 500 to 1000 miles per year and it could be a 300 or 350 horse engine. My criteria were 4 speed, no air conditioning, original engine and good colors (whatever that means). This car fell into my lap the day before it was going on Bring A Trailer, the owner of 34 years had a weather-related computer crash or I would have been bidding on the car along with all the other potential buyers on that site.

It's one of the nicest 1967 small block coupes I've ever seen, originally delivered to Sacramento (original smog pump) and stayed there until 1990 when it went to rural New York with the same owner for the next 34 years.

It received a National Top Flight and Bloomington Gold in the early 90's.

The tank was never dropped to pull the tank sticker, so I had to have faith it was there. Being a guy that lives and dies by paperwork, that was a risk, but the document was there and complete.

The fuel pump puked the day after I bought it, but upon removal, it turned out to be the original March, 1967 pump. Original window glass, body panels, interior, shocks, engine, transmission, rear end, starter, ect. Nothing on the car has been replaced aside from the exhaust (full NOS exhaust with header pipes will go on it) and battery (never used April '67 battery will go in it). The blue leather interior still smells great.

The car was repainted in the late 80's in lacquer and it's still beautiful on this 75,000 mile car. The black plates are the originals that were mounted in July of 1967 as per the registration receipts that came with the car.

X2 with Bill S.

The blue interior is the icing on this ‘67 cake, and leather to boot, damn nice!

Thanks for sharing photos of one of your Corvettes.

Chris.

Exactly!

Convertible Corvettes are very nice and a blast in the summertime, but there’s nothing quite like the look of a mid-year coupe.
To this day that design, rear window and the view from behind is still futuristic.
