Mecum today............
Wow all I can say no bargains at all. And cars priced 35-50% more then I would have ever imagined.
|
With all the trillions of dollars being created, everything is going to get real expensive....has anyone bought any lumber lately...HOLY SHEEEEEE
|
I had no idea a wrong motor car could be worth so much....and gm cars with caution fan stickers....do they add value!?!?!
|
i couldn't believe my eyes on those numbers! i was watching the l78 69 chevelles i figured they would end up in the 65-70 range at most i was way off

For every action there is an opposite reaction. The upside of the Green New Deal, and the end of fossil fuels appears to be a solid spike in collector car prices. |
Lumber has been expensive for at least 6 months due to back to back to back hurricanes as well as a horrible tornado season that ran thru Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and the south. Not to mention that a low interest rate and many young families are eager to build their first home .. with rates as low as 2.5% Some construction materials are already on allocation .
But of course this was all Mr. T ‘s fault. (Lol) |
It seems to follow on the heels of a construction BOOM, during a pandemic. I never thought that could happen with so many people "out of work" but it certainly did. WHERE the hell is all the money coming from, if the government needs to keep sending out "relief" checks. Now Biden wants another round totalling over 1 trillion dollars of borrowed money ???

Stock market at an all time high. Lots of money there.
|
I can't imagine a future when all, or most cars on the road are electric...smart cities, Agenda 2030. I need a time machine so I can go back to the fun decades.
|
I admit, that most of the prices seem higher and I'm shocked at some.
The '65 Z16 is DOUBLE what either 2 Z16's did at Kissimmee? The GOLD '78 Trans Am and the Yellow '78 Z28 are way up there too I think. BUT Then I look at the 3 Gen II Z28 Camaro's, the '70, '72 and '73. I thought those were bought OK?? The Orange/w TAN '73 looked like a deal at $42,900 with buys prem. The '70 LT1 would have been right at $50K without the prem. What do you guys think, the 70-73 Gen II Z28's that low in value??? |
