Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
More transmission transmissions:-)
"Ryan, I finished cleaning everything, measured all components that will be reused and laid out everything for assembly. I am just waiting for a couple of items that, as luck would have it, goes on the main-shaft first. That would be the replacement “wide” hub that I found and ordered on e-bay. Attached is a picture of the components that I have ready to go. The second picture is what I was telling you about the clutch disc and the “depth” of the flywheel mating surface. I found the disc I mentioned to you that came in contact with the flywheel bolts. You can see the flat spot on the spring where it made contact with the flywheel bolts. The clutch never fully disengaged and took out the gear drive teeth eventually. It never ground, but was very hard to get into reverse. I’ll put together a complete list of the items I found that would have certainly caused you some stress. Nick" I love the measuring, the cleanliness, the organization, the documentation, and the attention to detail..........I can't wait to shift from 1 to 2!!!!! Ryan "After the 1 to 2 shift, warranty is over. LOL Nick" Deal!! 30 minutes or 30 Kilometers which ever comes first:-) Ryan https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...7121-image.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...7122-image.jpg |

Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
We got the tie rods disconnected, and found a cool spring tag. I am absolutely overwhelmed by how original the car is:-) Every single item I learn about as i study the assembly manual I find exactly as described on my car (plus or minus a few items here and there) Ryan https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...1-img_3872.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2-img_3873.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...4-img_3874.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...5-img_3875.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...6-img_3876.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...7-img_3877.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...8-img_3878.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...9-img_3879.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...0-img_3880.jpg |
