1969 black Nova SS with LS6 engine

1969 Nova black on black originally a SS 396 4 speed car, NCRS shows sold new at Nickey Chevrolet. There is no documentation but it does have the original big block heater box, disc brakes, 12 bolt, dual fuel lines for a quadrajet, the clutch pedal is still in the car under the floor mat and it came with the big block cross member.
The body is a complete rust free body along with the floors, trunk, and dash area. The doors still open and close like it did when it was new. The rear wheel wells were modified in the 70s for larger wheels but that's all it would need is rear wheel well patches and outer wheel housings which could just be patched. When the car had the wheel wells redone in the 70s it was also painted in lacquer paint so it is a 10 footer, it will need paint. I had a lot of fun just driving it as it is. There are also so elbow leaning dents on the upper front fenders from people working on the engine. I am sure they can be removed by a dent guy.
The interior is very nice if you like the 70s style interior they did the velour inserts in the seats, I quess it was pretty cool at that time again I like it but anybody returning it back to stock would have to redo the seats. The seat are original and are very nice just need to be recovered. The headliner, all the trim and the sun visors are ec.
The engine in the car is a original CRV LS6 engine. The story I got was the Chevelle was totaled early on and in 1990 the owner of this car bought the complete engine and had it redone to put in the Nova. The engine block is TO618CRV but there is no serial number by looking at the deck I believe some one removed the vin number and it left deep scratches in the deck. The block date code is J2469 and the heads are E770. I also got the oil pump and pan with the car. The bottom end was left stock just blueprinted and balanced not sure what was done to the heads and a big solid flat tappet cam. I do have receipt for the motor
The transmission is a turbo 400 with a 3500 stall and a blow proof bell housing and the rear end is a 4:56 12 bolt with strange axles and I believe a brute strength posi unit It also has line lock, MSD, and many other race parts.

The car runs very strong and is very steetable for cruise nights runs cool and still has everything to keep it streetable. The car ran a best of 11.20 and should run 11.50s all day. Any questions or if you want pictures call John 630 333 8333

The Nova also has roller rockers, stud girdle, line lock and I do have the original rear slots and slicks that were on the car in the prior pictures.
