1967 Camaro L30/M20 "4P code" project car

30 Attachment(s)
Available is a extremely nice and rare 1967 Camaro "L30/M20" rust free project car

I am helping a buddy sell this off, as he has a few other cars to build, before he could get to this one, so offering it to someone that will make it their dream car

It has had all metal work has been done by previous owner, new full quarters, rear body panel, full floor pan, SS hood, Header panel, NIB rear spoiler, it was sprayed with sealer, my buddy sanded off two sections, just to verify, no repairs, ready for bodywork and paint
The previous owner already painted jambs, inner doors, fender, hood of car on original Marina Blue

Car has a later model 350 with domed pistons, head studs, GM performance aluminum heads (#14011049), 70-71 Z/28 / LT1 aluminum intake manifold (#3959594), Moroso oil pan, no other specs on engine, haven't touched it, Hedman headers, no accessories
Has early (Jan 1967 P7A03 code) Muncie M20 4 spd w/ Hurst shifter assembly, mated to the original 10 bolt posi rearend "PE" code 3.08 posi
Stock frame / suspension, later disc brakes, manual steering, new SS Brake and Fuel lines, new body bushings

It has new headliner installed, new front windshield, original Speedo & Tach 5,000 redline, floor console w/ gauges, has original radio, RPO "N30" Deluxe Steering Wheel, original 4 speed pedal assembly, heater controls, heater box, w/ new heater core installed, center dash panel,
Also included are the front and rear seats (fronts have 67 only metal backs) , deluxe rear side panels, front and rear stainless window trim moldings, drip rail moldings, original grille assembly, bezels, new fuel tank assembly, original side and rear glass

Trim Tag decode:
01D - build date Jan 4th week
67-12637--- 67 coupe w/ deluxe interior
LOS--- Los Angles build plant
732-Z - Bright Blue w/ Custom Buckets
F-F - Marina Blue (upper & lower) paint code
W - Tinted windshield only
2L - 4 speed floor Shift
G -Floor Console
3S - RPO Z23 Interior Decor Group
K - RPO Z21 Exterior Molding Group
4P - SS350 or L30/M20 option
5Y - Deluxe Seat Belts

Most will say that it is a SS350 w/ manual trans car, we are 98% sure this is a rare/ low production RPO L30/M20 car (only 2,663 L30/M20 coupes in 1967)
The 67 mid year production that offered the RPO# L30 327/275hp engine w/ RPO# M20 Saginaw 4 speed cars had the trim tag codes "4P and 2L" as well as other options on each car, they didn't have the 12 bolt available until later Feb/ March production more info here : CRG Research Report - The L30/M20 Camaro (camaros.org)

Car is located in Las Vegas, NV

Looks like a solid project. Any idea why the package tray has an overlay of sheet metal ?

Since you mention the CRG report, have you checked for the firewall piercing for the Muncie speedo cable that would be present on an SS ? That would be another indicator of this being an actual L30 car. The build date of the Muncie is curious also. It is in line with the build date of the car, but the L30 never received a Muncie trans, they were all Saginaw. Use a mirror and light to see if there is a partial vin stamped on the top of the trans. Which, if that is a match, why the 10 bolt rear with a close build date ? Very interesting car...:hmmm:

I have an 02C built at LOS with many of the same options but an automatic, which, thankfully, eliminates all this guesswork.

Thank you for input!
That is exactly what I checked, the speedo cable hole is under master cylinder (left of steering column, Saginaw location)
the Muncie has a different 67 VIN stamped on it

Thanks,
Jeff

I would say the evidence you have makes your percentage statement of this being an L30 car 100%.
