Pontiac steering wheels

I don't know if there are many guys on here that are "into" the early Pontiac's with the transparent steering wheels but I have a small collection of these cars and have been using Quality Restorations in Ca. for quite some time. They do great work but one thing I have always wanted was the transparent section of the wheel tinted to match the interior. Some guys say they came tinted from the factory, I don't know, all of the original wheels that I have seen are just yellowed looking.
I have found a guy in Sweden that recasts these wheels and he has done two for me with the tint. I am really happy with his work. If anyone is interested I can provide his contact information. Attached is a photo of one he just did for me with the transparent area tinted blue to match the interior in my 61 Catalina. |

Wow! Very nice. IMO - way better than the slight "yellow" look. When it comes to rare full size Ponchos - Tommy's the man!
