69 Yenko Camaro

Hi Guys,

I have a friend from work who's husband recently passed away. He had just purchased what looks to be freshly restored 1969 Yenko Camaro. The VIN # is 124379N593349, Color is blue w/ white stripes, Aluminum Yenko cast 427, 4 speed transmission, front disc brakes. I am trying to verify the car for her to see if it is a true Yenko or a tribute? I have had no luck with the Vin in any registries that I have found? Any back round on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Steve

Adding a few pic i took of the tags off the car and added the 1 to the VIN.

Hi Pete,

Thank you for the reply. The car looks just like the one pictured. It is a beautiful car. There is a tag on the fire wall with some info on the Yenko engine bore and stroke. There are no numbers on the engine deck either. There is an engine shop stamp on it from Pennsylvania. I'm trying to get some pics from my phone to load up here.

Thank you, Steve

Yenko engine

Hey Pete,

I posted a few picks I took of the camaro and if you compare the pics of the front of the Yenco engine. The clamp screws on the bypass hose are different?
Maybe not the same car? I beleive the car was purchased through Joe Verrillo out of New York. I'm going to try and contact him this week.

“Cannonsburg”?
Looks like a pretty healthy engine though.

It's the same. The same casting flaw on the front of the block, the same grind marks on the end of the head. The intake has been off and reinstalled, so the clamp might have been changed at that time.

Car was raced, originally 50-B (Dover white).
Just a car that has a later Yenko ZL1 motor in it.
