Now for a 3000 mile test drive.

Postsedan 09-16-2018 04:21 AM

Mark does amazing work....but you already know this.

Please do not use your driveway for a burn out video with this one :)

What number does this make that Mark has built for you? 12?

Dan

CC Rider 09-16-2018 05:33 AM

Awesome Riv!

Charley Lillard 09-16-2018 01:08 PM

Mark kinda babysat this one while Matt at Sled Alley did all the fab work. Amazing talent.

Billohio 09-16-2018 01:24 PM

Absolutely stunning

Crush 09-16-2018 06:36 PM

How long did it take?

Charley Lillard 09-16-2018 07:36 PM

I bought it in Nov 2016 and shipped it probably some time after that.

RPOLS3 09-16-2018 10:17 PM

Wow

Charley Lillard 09-16-2018 10:30 PM

Engine is actually a custom built 427 with a LS9 blower. Made 700 hp at the wheels on 93 octane.

KM265S 09-17-2018 12:23 AM

Damn nice beater.

Charley Lillard 09-17-2018 01:35 AM

We actually took a Roadster Shop Full frame and welded the body to it after cutting the orig. floor out. I have 5" ground clearance but the top of the car is I think 47" high.

Crush 09-17-2018 01:40 AM

What shop did the car?

Charley Lillard 09-17-2018 03:09 AM

Sled Alley in Detroit.

What an amazing build. A real work of art!

L16pilot 09-17-2018 12:34 PM

I've always loved the '65 Rivieras...a friend has a 65 GS and the syling inside and out was awesome. You've taken it to the next level and I really like how you left the original lines and character intact...absolutely timeless.

Yes those lines are perfection and timeless, and no need for improvement.

COPO 09-18-2018 04:30 AM

Certainly a work of art and extremely cool. Love to see it make a pass on your driveway.

tom406 09-18-2018 06:44 PM

Has Leno called for a feature yet? This is right up his alley as of late. Impressive build, Charley. Between building that and simultaneously restoring the big black 421 Pontiac, no one can accuse you of not putting your money where your mouth is😳.

Rolling Rembrandt. That’s awesome! Dave, do you mind if I use that term? Lol

A12pilot 09-20-2018 12:59 PM

Absolutely! My contribution to the hobby is to flood the forums with as many SuperDaveisms as I can! And in the case of this beauty, its warranted!

Cheers
