EBAY coronavirus help for sellers

Ebay would like all sellers to know that they are there for you in this trying time. Therefore theyd like you to know that starting July 1 they will be collecting all the money on your behalf of your sellers, and since you are busy and worried about these trying times, they will make a deposit monthly in your checking account IF YOU SO CHOOSE ,however this will cost 2.7 to 2.9 percent. Nothing like getting paid 30 days after youve already shipped something. The would also like to help by charging you the seller, a fee for them collecting sales tax from the buyer. So if you sell a $500 item to California. they charge the buyer the 50.00 sales tax, and you 6 or 7 dollars over and above just because they can.....Of course this is all topped off by sellers fees increasing up to 12.3 percent ,but only if you are a power seller with a perfect rating. if you dont have that, they will charge you another 4 to 5% final value fees. All told you will be paying around 16.6 to over 22% give or take of every item you sell...Again, their way of showing you they care about you during this pandemic.... Nothing like letting a good pandemic go to waste

You sell a lot on eBay but you can reduce the prices and sell to us not so rich people on yenko. Net and not pay the fees. Haha

I always sell to members at a lower than ebay price if asked prior whether a discount/free shipping etc. There now is a sales tax saving by buying direct from me too outside of CT so you gain on both ends ........

I have been saying it for years. We really need an alternative to Ebay. I am fine with Ebay making a buck. But, the greed has taken over.

Why don't some of you high rollers start a competing service?

the worst part about it is ebay is running thier site off of emails right now , you cant even get a live person the past 2 months, yet they are proceeding with this massive overhaul with no concern about the current state the world is in. Maybe the reason is they wont have to answer the phone when the lines start lighting up. They know they have people that would stay if the fees were 50 %,but at some point enough is enough. 6 month no hassle returns on used classic auto parts is going to finally sink thier ship

USPS announced changes to their service standards adding 1 day to most First Class Package and Priority Mail transit times. We will be updating our estimated delivery times as needed to accurately reflect this change by USPS. You do not need to do anything. Both FedEx and UPS are operating at normal capacity and both carriers, deemed critical by the government, have the appropriate exemptions for mandates such as imposed curfews.
