Given to me. Long story for another day. I have work to do.

Haven't decided what to do with it yet. Rebuilt engine and trans only have 2200 miles on them. But... been mostly sitting since 2003.

Body is amazingly rust free.

I always thought those were some of the best looking British cars. I don't know if I would fit in one. I tried to get in a MG midget once and didn't make it.

To me, these are more appealing now than they were when new. Seems like something you could have a lot of fun with it.

I had a 70 spit as my 1st car and always thought a V8 would be killer in that small body. But now as adult I look at these cars compared to modern cars and trucks and I feel I would be killed if I ever got in an accident nowadays. But I still like them!

While this is a GT6 V8 build, it would apply to a spit as well :) https://www.youtube.com/@FanatikBuilds

I put a 400 sbc into a 1976 TR-7, it was like driving a very fast go kart, lots of fun except when you wanted to stop.

A school teacher back in HS drove one of these.Ironically he got rear ended by a School Bus and we never saw him again....R.I.P.

The long overhang out back makes me think of putting a Corvair engine in it and having a frunk under the "bonnet".

2 of my friends growing up had them. Tom’s white one ran flawlessly every day. Greg’s blue on regularly broke down before he ever got out of the driveway
