On Kijiji Edmonton, could be a 6-Cyl. car originally but Factory Orange may make this '70 Acadian Coupe worth doing?:hmmm: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details...teLocale=en_CA $ 5500 Cdn. isn't much more than 4-thou US, needs lots but looks like nobody's dicked w/ it much yet also original Acadian trim still there too. No mistake about it w/ GM Canada docs available but love to see the Trim Tag and color designation. :beers: ~ Pete . |
I'm going to go out on a limb and say it was white from the factory! :)
|
An Acadian with a 454 from factory! I'd very much like to see the GM doc's on that one and pic's of the engine bay. Those would tell the whole story.......

Just reading about that car on the Poncho Site,...apparently the VIN and trim tag were removed to be .... ? Stefano was correct , apparently an original white car

This was the tag pic posted on the Cdn Poncho site with the ad. Isn't 65 65 Hugger Orange ?? but looks like the firewall was white ??
No original Big Block Acadians documented that I have ever seen. Lots of claims. |
Well that’s interesting,...definitely Carousel Red paint code for 1970. I was just of what was posted on the other site,.. about the vin and cowl tag being removed.
Gonna be an interesting car to follow, pretty rare if it’s real , and then hopefully it gets restored too. |

Look carefully as the Kijiji ad actually states 1 of 4454 1970 Acadians produced, not 4x 454 cars? Whether that # even correct or highlighted #'s in the ad intentional or not, exactly Zero 454 cars were actually built. :beers: ~ Pete . |
I read it as 1 of 4454 Acadians produced.
|
Cool car, I don't see anything fishy about that one....should be built like a COPO and raced in PSMCDR!
|
Now I heard over the years, there were no BB Acadians made. So if Charlie is correct and probably is, one could do a 454 for the drags.
I do however do recall hearing about 2 LT1 Acadians that were supposed to be built and I believe sold out of Belmont? Like the Canadian Acadian version of a Yenko Deuce. 1 was silver 4sp that I saw with some sort of funky "factory" traction bar. Do not know anything about the other car at all. |
