1963 - 409 complete long block
 

1963 409 long block. 3830814 casting, dated 340th day of 1962. TOI2IQG stamp on pad (340 HP), VIN not visible, Hydraulic cam. Hi performance 3814690 heads dated 346 and 351. Dripper valve covers. Includes 8755797 water pump dated 02858. Took out to install a date code correct assembly. Ran fine when removed. Jake, not that it matters, but with a Julian casting date of 340, the block was cast on Dec 6th, 1962. If it had been cast that late in '63, it would have been a 422 '64 block.
In fact, the 422 blocks entered production in mid March '63.
