Renewing Paid Subscription

I was trying to renew my paid subscription, but when I got to the method of payment section; there was only pay pal. I don't have a pay pal account and was going to use my credit card, but there was no section for that. Thanks for any help.

You don't need to be a member of Paypal. Click on the Paypal option and at the bottom of the next page you'll see:

No PayPal account? Pay using your credit or debit card

From there you can use your credit or debit card without signing up for Paypal.

Just an FYI, there is still an issue with using credit cards. We are working with our Vbulletin forum provider to solve the issue. Jody will provide an update.

KCCC_BB 01-23-2018 01:02 AM

Thanks for the information.

bugsy 01-23-2018 03:44 PM

thanks for info. I have been trying to pay for over a week so i can post. thank you

bugsy 01-28-2018 01:14 AM

I have a pay pal account that has not been used for a few years. Every time I try and pay with my credit card it won't let me pay, keeps telling me I have a pay pal account with that email. This is ridiculous. I had my wife put in her credit card info and her work email address and still can't get through for payment. Is this issue being addressed

Presently to implement the ability to use credit cards it requires paying several hundred dollar a year fee. I've only ,had three credit card requests so it not a good option. I'm hoping my site programmer can write some code to accommodate those who want to use credit cards but he's working on getting the new main page up this week. unfortunately Paypal is the only option at this time.

njsteve 01-31-2018 11:31 AM

Steve,

Is there a way to do a single-time paypal renewal and not recurring? I have credit freezes on all my credit accounts for security reasons and a renewal that doesn't specifically ask for my permission beforehand will not work for me.

tjs44 01-31-2018 12:26 PM

I was not able to use paypal today. They wanted a credit card link.Tom

I have a paypal acc I use all the time, and I can't renew my subscription. Been trying for 4 days. As soon as I hit the paypal, it just goes nowhere. I can't get to a page where I can pay with a credit card either.....Not ready to give up, but........

m22mike 02-05-2018 11:55 AM

Bill
I as well had a similar problem, I could not pay with my existing PayPal CC info. It just sat there and looked stupid :dunno:
I finally entered another card to get it done. At my age I miss writing checks :naughty:

Mike

Bill Rose 02-05-2018 02:24 PM

I couldn't even do that Mike. All I get is a blank white page when I click on the paypal box, so I'm not getting any options. Not sure what to do now, so I'll just wait until someone looks into it. It has nothing to do with my paypal acc. I used it yesterday to order an air tool.

RPOLS3 02-05-2018 06:51 PM

My renewal should be good until July and it is telling me - As a valued member, we want to notify you that your Paid Membership has lapsed, and it’s time to renew.......

rspanther 02-07-2018 03:38 AM

I get the same message and my renewal is in april. And I always pay by check . Will I still be able to pay by check ?

TDW 02-07-2018 08:31 AM

How long after you renew does the message still show? Message is still showing for me after I paid up.

Thank you!

Bill, Paypal has had some issues a few days back 1/31 & 2/1, but since then I thought all was going smoothly. I will PM you to get more particulars. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

Steve

Tom,
The only option presently is to pay via a Paypal account. I believe you are trying to pay as a Paypal guest with a credit card and that option is not available, but we are working on a solution. My developer is busy trying to get a new site main page up. I will PM you. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

You are welcome Steve. I think that I was the first paying member when the site was very young.

PS..... The message about my membership lapsing is still showing up when I log in.

Unfortunately that bypasses the paid subscription built into Vbulletin. This is a Paypal issue that will hopefully be resolved asap, Steve is on it.

camcojb 02-08-2018 05:16 PM

I just signed up through Paypal, worked fine. I have a credit card and checking account linked to mine. Unfortunately it moved me into the paid member group and out of the Admin group, so I can't get back into my Admin panel. :CharleySucks:

Mr70 02-08-2018 05:59 PM

Ha!

bbbenny 02-08-2018 08:44 PM

TJS44/Tom,

I believe you used the Donate Button, instead of the subscription. This is why your membership status did not change. I will try to update your status. Yes I did receive your donation yesterday.

njsteve 02-09-2018 11:46 PM

Steve,

Have we figured out a way to only do one year at a time and not an automatic renewal?
