After years a calling the owner I was finally able to get this gem bought .the owner had the save the original tires even though they are bald the car is matching numbers the registration expired in 1977 and the title is dated 1969 .its a colorado car and had always been kept inside so the car is rust fee . The original paint is in great shape the owner put air shocks on back in the day and he put the original shocks in the air shock box and they look almost new . He removed the smog as most guys did and put the smog in a box and saved it he even saved the belt .i plan to put the parts he removed and saved back on it and take it to local car shows and maybe vintage in Chicago it's always fun having the experts go over these cars.

Dave we'd love to have that car participate in Vintage Certification. It would be parked next to a lemans blue 68 rs/ss L78 also being certified. Congratulations!!!!

When reinstalling original parts, are you remounting the worn factory tires on the original rims to use for display and another set of rims/tires used for driving?

Whats the build date on the car? And also could you snag a pic of the silk screening on the underside of the air cleaner lid? You can email it to me if you'd like.
