Temporarily addressed the leaky heater core by caping the heater hose fittings :)

Zedder 09-06-2020 11:49 PM

Sorry for the sideways pics. I rotated them in editor and they still come out sideways on this site?

I never missed not having a tilt wheel when I was younger 😀

Zedder 09-29-2020 12:30 AM

Can anyone tell me what the hell I am doing wrong when posting pics! Taken with an iPhone. They turn sideways on this site only...even after I rotate them in editor?

If loading pics you've saved as 90 out, which way do they show in the preview?
Can you take a screen shot then try posing it instead of the file pic?
:hmmm:

Fix the heater core ASAP and hook it up again but PLEASE get rid of those rubber caps. In an ironically similar situation, I blew the end off from one of those rubber caps & the resulting mess was weeks of clean-up work from slimy coolant over an entire carefully detailed engine compartment! Never again!!!

How about a few pics of the Panhead?

I’ll give preview a try Pete. Thanks for rotating my pic!

The heater core is next year’s project. I just stuck those caps on to get some shakedown miles on it.

Here is the 65 Pan. Belleville Police Special documented with old titles and newspaper articles. Just sold it to try and get my old 65 back.

Since my carb decided to puke gas all over the intake, I spent the afternoon giving the car a quick polish so it will look good going to the shop on a flat bed 😀

Zedder 07-04-2021 07:44 PM

Sorry for the tilted pics. If I rotate them before posting, they post rotated! I give up!!!

Too Many Projects 07-04-2021 09:23 PM

Seems many phone cameras do that, especially Iphones. I just use my old fashioned Sony camera to avoid the hassle.
Did you get the carb to stop puking gas ?

Zedder 07-04-2021 09:38 PM

No, my Son is away for the weekend and I need him to watch the carb while I crank it over. Thanks for the tip though! I’ll let you know if it works…

You can also crop the top or bottom of your pics on the iPhone so they are more horizontally rectangular before posting.

Zedder 07-07-2021 12:07 AM

Thanks. I’m going to try square photos also. This is the only site where this happens to me.

Off to Paul’s shop to sort out the carb problem, install new red lines, replace the heater core and a few other odds and ends. Thanks to Mike from Abrams who loaded it up without issue.

Got the car back from Paul’s on Friday and took it out for a quick spin today. The new Coker’s make a huge difference! Turns out, the heater core was ok. The hose had a tiny crack in it that leaked only under higher RPMs and shot into the heater box! New hoses, oil change, fuel filter etc. And she is good to go. Thanks Paul!

BJCHEV396 08-16-2021 04:04 AM

Lookin good Mark! What size are your new redline tires? I need new fronts but everywhere I look they are back ordered in my size.

napa68 08-16-2021 01:17 PM

Looks great Mark!!

Zedder 08-16-2021 02:29 PM

Thanks Guys!

They are D70-14. Try Coker direct. Everyone else seems to be out of stock.

fastco 08-17-2021 02:43 PM

This is the second time we've had the pleasure of doing maintenance/upgrades on this awesome car!! Mark is a great car car as well!

Zedder 08-17-2021 04:03 PM

Thanks Paul!

My daughter and I took some video of the car on the weekend…

Great looking 67 Mark! Thank you for posting the video

Zedder 08-18-2021 02:11 AM

Thanks guys! I actually enjoyed watching the videos my daughter took myself! You never really get to enjoy what your car looks like driving down the road…at least I didn’t until now!

The clip is short but I can see how excited you are the moment you started this classic car. Congratulations on this successful build.

Zedder 08-19-2021 12:11 AM

Thanks, but I can’t take credit for the build. It was completed 12 years ago by Chris Tucker. I’m still getting used to starting this one. I always want to give it more gas than it needs!

Zedder 08-28-2021 02:22 PM

Thanks again guys! As some of you know, I’ve been working on a couple of potential deals and one appears to be going to happen. I don’t want to say more than that at this time, but my SS will be on Bring-a-Trailer in a few weeks. The reserve will be about $2,000 less than I have in it.

From Monroe Blue to Chevy Grey in a couple of hours! If anyone local to Oakville needs some grey shock paint I have about 1/2 a can left that is free for the taking.
