Kirkham Cobra

5 Attachment(s)
Kirkham 427S/C Cobra built by Keith Craft Racing. The body is hand formed aluminum with brushed finish and polished stripes.
Keith Craft started off with an all aluminum 427FE Robert Pond block bored out to 482 cid and added the following components:

Edelbrock FE 6008 cylinder heads
Diamond pistons designed for Ford FE
Eagle cast steel crank
Numerous billet pieces under the hood
Halon fire-suppression system

The engine components were weighed and balanced. After a complete leak down test and numerous break-in cycles out of the car, the motor was dynoed in the car. The resulting power numbers are: torque: 626.4 ft./lbs.@4,400 rpm, horsepower: 600.8@5,600 rpm. This car is capable of high 10 second quarter mile times at 135 MPH starting easily off the line. It will run at 180 MPH at 6,000 RPM in fifth gear. It idles calmly and runs on pump gas. Dry weight is under 2,000 LB.

Tremec TKO 5-speed gearbox.
Kirkham original-reproduction Salisbury-style IRS, with Auburn limited-slip 3.42:1 ratio.
Kirkham upgraded gauges, configured as original Cobra and with reverse-winding speedometer
Moto-Lita hardwood-rimmed steering wheel
Kirkham billet pedals
Connolly Leather upholstery
Wilton Wool Carpeting, including doors and console
Battery cutoff switch on rear bulkhead
Driver's fresh air vent
Wind wings
Wheel well insulating foam
Penske shocks with Hyperco racing springs
Wilwood racing brakes
Billet independent suspension components
42-gallon stainless steel fuel cell
polished stainless steel sidepipes

I’m selling this car to make room in the garage, so no trades. I hate to give it up as it is such an authentic replica and an absolute blast to drive. 600 total miles. Priced at $105,000 [email protected]

One from the top. The stripes are the polished aluminum body, not painted or shiny tape.

Pretty soon you can buy the real thing with 800 horsepower but it might set you back 5 million.
