'69 427 Biscayne

I looked at this car about 10 years ago before it was repainted, and when it was with the previous long-time owner. I was pretty convinced it was an original 425hp car (even had the L72 tailpipe hangers) but the mice had eaten most of the important areas of the build sheet. Neat car in any case but has definitely had some bodywork done since I last saw it.

It's on eBay again and craigslist. Neat car.

If you could get it under $10k I think it would be a pretty good deal and a lot of fun.

Relisted on Ebay for $10k with no reserve. If anyone's interested I can send those pics from ~15 years ago so you have a feel for where it came from.

I actually think $10k is a pretty decent deal for a running and driving car that looks as good as this one seems to look. And if you could find the original block (I assumed it was an original 396 or 427 based on my inspection) that would be icing on the cake.

Being a Flint car, I’m surprised there was a build sheet at all.

For whatever reason, this car and my old 427/425 Biscayne (now Marc C's car), both Flint cars, had broadcast sheets hog ringed to the lower rear seat cushion.

Hi,
Could you please send me those pictures?
Thanks

If the coil spring codes are still visible on the broadcast sheet that should tell whether it was an L72 or the lower horse 427.

Lee, sending you a few pics now.
