68-69 Nova Front End Bolts

I'm looking for verification of the correct bolts used to mount the front of the fenders to the Radiator Support, the grill to hood latch, hood latch, and the hood latch striker. Are these bolts the 12 point bolt with flat washer? Are they the 6 point hex with flat washer? Or are they the 6 point hex bolt with built in type of fixed washer on the head of the bolt? I've seen 68's and early 69 Nova's with the 12 point bolts and I've seen some of the mid to late production 69 Nova's and the 70-up Nova's using the fixed washer to the head type of bolts. Here's pics of what I have now. This car is built 05C, 3rd week of May. Just looking for verification of the correct bolts. Thanks everyone!

Why don't you check the A.I.M. for the pn's and cross check the AMK list ?
There catalog is on line.

I was thinking those would have the washer crimped on the bolt but would turn , with a flying f , depending when your car was built ..

Mike, I don't have a clue of what you're talking about, especially with the abbreviation thing. You'll have to be a bit more specific and/or spell it out for me if you would please. I can locate or find the info, but I need to know what, who, and where you're talking about on the abbreviations. Thanks

A I M “assembly manual “ AMK is a hardware company that sells nice kits if they have the correct ones for your application

Ok, that's what I was doing next. I've got the manual and info and numbers. I just didn't know where to reference the numbers. Thanks!

Here is a link to the AMK sight, takes some patience to navigate ?

https://www.amkproducts.com/

There complete catalog is here in PDF files

https://www.amkproducts.com/Catalog_PDF.htm

And the handy GM# to AMK # charts are here. GM starts on pg 408

https://www.amkproducts.com/Catalog_PDF/403-BC.pdf

I have had some luck using Google search by entering the GM# and often a direct link to AMK will pop up. AMK is good, not perfect, some kits are not always 100% and need to be adjusted for correctness. This is where studying unmolested cars can be a big help, and don't get to hung up on any one head marking. GM and Fisher Body had many vendors for like items. Hope this helps ?

Mike

The bolts you have pics of, look to be correct. They look the same as what i have on my unrestored 70. I would leave what you have alone. Maybe Sammy will chime in. He has a very nice unrestored 69 Nova.

Yeah I agree. After checking out the assembly manual, comparing part numbers, cross referencing, and coming up with identification photos, Everything I have on my car is correct. The majority of these bolts are 5/16-18 bolts, but some are fixed washers, some are separate washers, some have pointed ends for self aligning, and some have flat threaded ends. I believe Ive got everything figured out and what Ive shown is what I'm going with. Thanks guys! I appreciate everyones input and support! Thanks sYc and members!
