Is this one? Does it make a difference on the depth of the pan? The tray still does it's job and

bolts up the same, right?

Still actively searching for the Deep Performance Oil Pan ....Thanks!

Fast67VelleN2O 12-04-2018 02:37 PM

I have a few of these on the shelf... not sure how nice they are. I will look today and let you know.

68 DANA 12-05-2018 03:15 AM

The picture of the oil pan that I posted was a NOS pan offered on E-bay a while back. I have not seen one in NOS condition or in excellent condition since.

Thanks for checking!

Did you ever have a chance to check the overall condition of your pans? Do you have any pics you can post?

Thanks!

I found 2 in my stash of junk. One has a dent on the bottom. The other has a braze repair and a few small dings here and there.

That is a very nice oil pan. If memory serves me correctly that oil pan in a Moroso oil pan from back in the day.

I would like to locate an original GM oil pan in excellent condition to compliment my ride.

Although not a Big Block, here are similar pics of a Moroso SBC pan.

So, have you found a suitable oil pan then?

68 DANA 12-30-2018 04:09 AM

I have one on its way thanks to the generosity of "Fast67VelleN2O". I would still be interested in another oil pan in excellent or in NOS condition. The pictures I posted is a NOS pan that was on E-bay a while back. Not too common but they do exist. I have another project that could use another pan.

Thanks!

PM sent.

Does not look like the PM was sent....?

68 DANA 12-31-2018 05:00 PM

Received the PM and thanks for the pictures. As discussed, I would still like to locate one in excellent or NOS condition. I am sure one will eventually surface......

Still searching for a second 427 GM Deep Performance Oil Pan, 6 quart GM #3879633 and corresponding oil pump c/w pick up - GM #3964255, in NOS or excellent condition.

I had located and purchased another 427 Deep Performance Oil Pan with its corresponding windage tray as a package deal on a different forum site but unfortunately can not use the pan.

Thanks!

RALLY 03-10-2019 06:04 PM

Sir, i may have the correct oil pickup for that oil pan. I had three of these pans about 4 years and sold them all. Let me know if you might want to buy this pickup, but it may have been used before with a tack weld on the tube. I can check this week.

68 DANA 03-11-2019 04:31 AM

Send me some pictures if you find it....Thanks!

RALLY 03-12-2019 10:24 PM

Will do. I check this weekend on the oil pump pick up and send some pics.

The oil pump for the 427 Deep Performance Oil pan is GM #3964255.

The casting number on the bottom #3860376 and #3963598 on the side.

RALLY 03-30-2019 02:17 AM

Very sorry i didn't get back to you. I am going over to my garage and check on the oil pump pick up/screen. I will take pictures and send them. Send me your email address in a PM message.

68 DANA 04-08-2019 01:12 AM

Thanks Rally for the oil pick up tube! Still on the hunt for the oil pump and an additional oil pan.

RALLY 04-08-2019 01:30 AM

Good luck with your hunt for those parts. Glad i could help some.

ronzz572 04-08-2019 01:46 AM

This is all I can get tonight. The pan I think is correct. The pumps sump and trays I have to check through. Tried to load a picture, but to large. Going to retry again.

blackss69 04-10-2019 01:53 PM

I have a NOS oil pan still painted orange. I do not have the original box. I also have the curved windage tray (NOS _258451). I think I have a NOS HD oil pump and screen (the screen has been removed). Also have the studs, etc. I also have the flat Corvette tray 3967854. Let me know if you are interested. I will take pictures if you are interested.

68 DANA 05-11-2019 12:01 PM

NOS oil pan, windage tray and corresponding oil pump have been found!

Hawkeye 05-12-2019 08:59 PM

Congratulations!!! Did you also get the studs for the windage tray.
I would like to know the length of them. Also if you could post some photos that would be great.
Thanks,
Marty

That oil pan did not use the flat Corvette Windage tray. It used the curved windage tray 3879640. This is the correct windage tray number. I use to own 3 windage trays for this 633 oil pan.
