Last year, my 1st year. I’m hooked. Great bunch of guys. I’ll take this opportunity to again thank Doug Perry and Scott Tedro for the chance to attend. In the 40+ years of this car obsession, I have never felt so welcome and treated so well by the event coordinators and participants. Thank you SCR sYc

big gear head 01-25-2019 11:53 AM

Bently, glad you could make it. Bring a helmet with you this year.

big gear head 01-26-2019 02:39 PM

Do you have a plan worked out for the shootout? Will there be 2 classes or will it be COPO only?

Copo_Cartel 01-26-2019 08:23 PM

I will ask Jamie and Tom to decide what to decide ..I know we will have a race master this year.

Why, are you afraid of getting your ass kicked by an Oldsmobile again?

big gear head 01-29-2019 12:06 PM

I got mine kicked by a Mustang, but an Olds could probably do it too. :3gears:

61 vert 01-29-2019 05:59 PM

Mustang maybe stay home this year.

Copo_Cartel 01-29-2019 08:03 PM

I tried to be a tree killer on that mustang but went .019 on the wrong side of the bulb in the semi finals.

big gear head 01-29-2019 08:30 PM

I might have got him (Mustang), but my car slowed down .2 because the engine was hot and didn't have time to cool down. Should have changed my dial in, but I'm new to this and didn't know any better.

The Mustang has to come back. Too many people want revenge. :3gears:

Not only do me enjoy racing the Mustang, but we enjoy the other cars you bring to the reunion.

Copo_Cartel 01-30-2019 05:02 PM

It’s always a treat when Andy and Dennis send some cool cars.

nugeusa1 01-30-2019 10:42 PM

A thank you From Ky guys!!!

Hey Everyone!
SCR 22 is rapidly approaching and we here in KY are super excited that Tom and the guys are coming back to BG and Beech Bend raceway. We have heard that Jason will be unable to provide the awesome BBQ this year for the meet and greet. Kasey Alford AKA Pusherman (Alford's Pharmacy) and I got the permission from Tom and the guys to provide the food this year , we will do BBQ again from a local restaurant, Walden's BBQ, the menu will include: Pulled Chicken, Sliced pork shoulder, baked beans, coleslaw, chips, cookies and Southern sweet tea or water to drink. Kasey and I are honored to provide this meal as a gift to say thank you to all the organizers and participants this year. We feel blessed to have the opportunity to meet and become friends with wonderful people and it wouldn't have been possible without this event.
Thank you all and we will see you in July,
God Bless, Greg Nugent

bbbentley 01-30-2019 11:16 PM

Yuuuum yum...cant beat Southern vittles and hospitality! Thanks a ton G. Nugent & Kasey A.

Copo_Cartel 01-31-2019 12:53 AM

Thank you Greg and Kasey... your donation to provide food for the Thursday night “Meat and Greet” is very much appreciated by all of the attendees. Your generosity will allow all of us to break bread together as we come in off the road from all over the map. Thank you for the Kentucky Hospitality !!!!

RST 01-31-2019 02:03 AM

That is wonderful, I am sure it will be awesome!

Jason ………. please tell us you are still going to attend?

livettes 01-31-2019 01:08 PM

Thanks to Greg and Kasey for providing this meal. This is one of the things that makes the Reunion so special. We have only been doing this for a few years now but it has become one of my favorite parts of the event.
Jamie

As much as Jason wants to be there...his family comes first. They planned their family reunion on his mother’s side...and he is low man on the totem pole. He was out voted on moving the date so he could attend SCR22. He really is bummed.

big gear head 01-31-2019 02:37 PM

I hate to hear that. I enjoy his company.

RST 01-31-2019 03:06 PM

I agree the family reunion is a priority ……….. so ……. Jason …. your second family will miss you and say a nice prayer for you and your family before our meal without you this year. Mascar will also dedicate our first run down the track to you :)

Guys,

Appreciate the nice comments! I'm sure Nuge will take good care of you! I do want to thank Tom, Jamie, and Doug for trying to move the event! We just couldn't work it out! I'm grateful to call many of you friends and I'll be back next season for an 11 sec. pass!! The rear end is almost back together and I can't wait to get it back on the track. Monster Energy will still be providing some nice door prizes for the banquet dinner. Please post PLENTY of pictures here and social media! You know I'll be watching! : )

See everyone at either at the Camaro Nationals, Good Guys Columbus and of course MCACN. The beater will be coming to the Camaro Nationals (Thanks to Doug Perry for getting me in) and to Bob Ashton for letting me join in the Day 2 display this November.

Be safe!

Jball
