DANA C.O.P.O. @ Hilton Head Concours d' Elegance
It was a real surprise that I was invited to one of the Top Concours events in
the country. It was a Shocker that my Corvair was placed in the American Performance class as well. My DANA was displayed next to a 1966 Shelby AC COBRA, 427 WITH TWIN 4'S, ONE OF THOSE $500,000 models. In the class was a 69 Plymouth GTX, 70 TORINO KING COBRA, 70 Plymouth HEMI ROAD RUNNER, 69 Dodge DAYTONA, a 67 Chevy 427 convert. on the other side of my Corvair.. To say the least I was Out Classed. Out Gunned, and Way OUT << Horse-Powered >> It was a Fantastic Show, even if I came in Last, I still had a BLAST ++++ https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...492resized.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...76_resized.jpg |

Sam,
It was great to be invited to the show, and put in Performance class, not so sure about that, judges kept coming by to see how a Corvair would be in that CLASS. It was really something special to be asked, I was told it was the first Corvair from TN. to be on display in the Super Duper Class' Every time the Shelby would start up my doors would pop open............... |
