Very Clean '70 Z/28
What a car at the $19,500 starting bid (and no reserve). I'm trying to figure out why it's priced so low when it appears to be a clean original car with the born-with engine (although the seller doesn't explicitly say so, the description suggests it's the original).
There's a few small Day 2 mods like the SW oil pressure gauge in place of the clock, paint additions, and some chrome on the engine, but overall it looks like an absolute steal anywhere near the opening bid price. Was this car discussed here not too long ago?

It is going to go considerably higher than the opening bid.
Sometimes that is a great way to get a lot of interest going in an auction. Although, it can back fire. I can't believe they didn't go back with an LT-1 camshaft. Opted for the L46 hydraulic cam instead. No irreversible, but still an odd choice in my book. Gotto love the sound of the old solid lifter cars. |
Too bad the intake got polished.

LOVE M. Blue! Did I miss it or is there any mention of original drivetrain?

You could comb your hair in that intake.

Not that I could find, other than a reference that “the 350” was rebuilt in the late 1970s. The context makes it sound like the original engine...but if I were interested I’d be asking for pics of the deck.
