The letters on the one in the pic are different than assembly line.
They appear to be more fine than originals, just so you know.

You’re correct - the photo is only a “prop” from the web. It’s a repop.

The pad 3935721 went discontinued on 7/72.

In all the years I looked for that pad NOS starting around 1980, I was able to come up with three at one time. A friend of mine in Ohio found a seller around 1995 that just happened to have three at a swap meet. He bought all three for me for my projects. Those are the only ones I have ever seen NOS.

The backside has the part number 3935721 and has the recessed area for the tabs to be bent into place.

The recessed area where it says DISC BRAKES on the stainless insert is supposed to be highlighted by what looks to be black.

Thanks Warren, over the past couple of years I've accumulated many parts for my Z/28 project including an NOS gas, parking brake and clutch pedal, also the bright trim - somehow I overlooked the disc brake pedal pad. Now that I'm at the point I need one, naturally there isn't one on-line to buy and the repops aren't close enough. Could use some help locating one.

Still looking.

I have taken the middle metal piece out and placed it on an NOS pad to retain the correct look. I have never seen an NOS one in 40 years.

Would be interested in a description of the technique used to create the disc brake pedal cover from an NOS (clutch) pedal cover.
