Speedometer Gear Ratio Adapter 6476736

Looking for an adapter 6476736 1:.777

Thanks,
Bill

scuncio 01-03-2019 01:35 AM

That is a hard dude to find.

firstgenaddict 01-08-2019 11:44 AM

IS this the SW straight through adapter?
I will have to look at the shop today, I know it was a .777 I just took off a car 2 days ago.

SMS 01-08-2019 12:39 PM

It was the angle adapter I was looking for, but since that is the right ratio I don’t know why that wouldn’t work. Let me know and thanks for the reply!

Bill

Thanks for checking.

scuncio 01-12-2019 07:12 PM

If you're flexible on ratio I have an original AC 0.833 angle adapter.

firstgenaddict 01-12-2019 07:21 PM

Tony can you send me a photo of the .8333 unit if the OP is not interested?
I am looking for a .8625 (I think) well I know the number started with an 8. lol

FWIW I also have the following two .9743 and 1.2020 Stewart Warner adapters (straight through with offset input and output)

scuncio 01-12-2019 07:24 PM

Sure, I'll post a picture. It's in good condition with the original finish.

I’ll do a little math and see if that will work. Thanks.

Scuncio,
I have an 1: .833 also but mine has different part number 6477965. Do you happen to know why or the difference?

luv2sixty9 01-13-2019 04:00 AM

Rear Axle Ratio - Rear Tire Size - Adapter, Speedo / 4.329
3.55 E70 x 14 6477965
3.55 F70 X 15 6477965
3.70 F70 X 15 6477965
4.11 F70 X 15 6477965

Scuncio,
I found a little info. on your part # and its for 1968, but it says to refer to chart in group 4.337 for additional model application. I don't have that chart....Dave

My car is a 68 Z/28 E70 X 15 with 4.88s. Should be the last gear and adapter combo in this chart.

scuncio 01-13-2019 02:07 PM

I have 6476736 on my 68 L78 Camaro with 4.10s so I can confirm that application.

Bill,
I have a 736 that I thought I didn't need, but according to your chart it indicates that I do. Now I'm confused. My 68 Z has 410 gears and E70-15.

According to my chart attached below it appears that I don't need an adapter. I would like to help you out but I want to make sure I don't need it. Dave

As long as your driven gear is the orange 25 tooth 3860348 is should work according to that 68 chart. The 69 chart I posted says you need the adapter. I never considered the gauge itself differed mechanically between 68 and 69 but maybe that's why the difference in the two charts.
