If it is assembly line metal from the same car -- you are looking at 200 hours from bare metal to painted - I have done enough first gen F bodies to know the numbers- that is no metal replacement and no heavy collision damage...
You need the body the subframe rad support and whatever bushings you are using. Like it came out of the Fisher Body paint shop with all sealers and undercoating in the wheel wells, firewall black outs correct dash paint - PTB stampings etc supplies will run 3000- ish. Min - 15 k -up to 25k IF you know all the processes it is as easy doing them 100% correct -as it is doing it wrong. |
Last year I asked a number of sources what it would cost to strip and paint a rust free 67 Camaro and the consensus was $25-$30k

IF the car was disassembled and ready to go to the media blaster I can deliver them back painted, gapped, and ready to start assembly with all correct sealers, overspray - everything factory style- lack of coverage etc mist on firewall - like they came out of the fisher body paint shop - for 20k or less.
It's the assembly which takes me entirely too long, I am too meticulous and don't ever charge enough for the reassembly, which is why I refuse to price such work other than by the hour. |
JAG...check out this L78 in my thread below and pm me your thoughts on paint. I think I can still buy that car...just want a nice cruise night car.
