Bought a couple of 93 Harleys

My first brand new HD was a black 93 Fat Boy. I’ve always wanted to find a bike that was identical to it, but could never find exactly the right bike. After selling my Camaro last year, I started looking a little harder. I came across a 5,200 mile 93 Nostalgia at a dealer in NJ and decided to pick it up since these were really cool numbered limited edition bikes (2700 total) and they were impossible to get in 93. I picked up a mint factory exhaust system and NOS saddlebags for it and plan to finish it off in the next few weeks…

Of course…4 weeks after getting it up here last October, I find a 2,100 original mile Fat Boy exactly like my first bike. The guy is in Georgia and is doing a quick flip. He refuses to register the bike in his name, so I can’t import it to Canada and have to pass. Fast forward to March and I see another one on eBay with 2,300 original miles in Texas. I strike up a conversation with the owner and quickly realize it is the same bike! Young guy bought the bike as his first and had a couple of close calls and got spooked. Bike was in his name, so we made a deal and it’s in my garage. Like I did with the Moo-Glide, it got all oils, filters, tires, carb rebuild, new belt and I put a set of passing lamps on it. I have an NOS engine guard for it also and an NOS seat. Hope to finish it off this weekend
First pic is my old bike in 1993. I also found a set of Cycle Shack pipes like my first 93 had, but I’m not going to put them on after all. |
Nice low mileage bikes.

Fat Boy is looking good too…

Both are stunning. It’s a life goal to own one. The older I get the more I doubt it’ll happen.
