1979 Corvette Turbo - Thoughts?

Not sure what to think about this 1979 Corvette with a Turbo. Installation looks so clean, makes you wonder:

im not sure a guy could tie a martin system to a GM prototype

when Corvettes where gutless, it helped..

ive had a few setups...turbo is too small for a 350..the most popular system they made was for the corvette..

I have one now that is definitely a Martin but says Genesis on it..no patent numbers etc...cool stuff..but no one wants the stuff anymore..turbos have come a long way

----A buddy up the street had a 77 that was clean but gutless. His solution was a crate 502. Im pretty sure that it would have wasted this 79 in any kind of race. The thing was really very fast. He used stock big block exhaust manifolds and really didn't do much else to the car. Just another way to enjoy the gutless years!......Bill S

Mark, did this system make a car more fun to drive from gutless? Or, was it more of a oil leaking, air fuel ratio nightmare to be worth it? I have a Martin set up laying around and always considered installing it on my 79 Z28. It does look neat.

lots of torque..lots of fun..but the turbos are kinda small...and they run out quick...keeping the turbo maintained and oil working is huge

it took gutless and made it fun..just not like we see today...
