'73 #s Z/28, No Reserve Auction

Pretty ballsy running a no-reserve auction in this market...but bidding appears to be fairly strong nonetheless. Neat car if you're a green-on-green type of guy...I like it a lot...thinking it will end around $27-28k. I believe the green interior, and maybe the riveted trim tag, will ultimately hold it back some.

4 speed hump is not right...that ring should fit nice and flat on the orig hump and its off to the side and bent...between this and those rivits i would look into it before i bid....

Looks like it doesn't have the correct intake and chrome oil pan added. 72 Z-28 engine still had the high rise aluminum intake but thought for sure Chevy went to the cast iron low riser and Q-Jet carb for the 73 Model Z.

Spoiler Z28 emblem was chrome mylar foil in 73.

That looks to be a fender emblem on the rear D-80.

Kind of a strange "cast" look on the engine stamp. Like the paint was made purposely rough.

I have had less than ideal results with the seller.

I like it a lot too. For 27-28k, if it is finished as good as it looks in the pics, I'd say that is a fair deal even if it is a clone.

I love the green on green.

Those cowl tag rivets. They should be screws on a 07E car for sure.

Yes indeed.....but you can bet those "incorrect" screws were removed and thrown away by some know-it-all who "knows" that all Trim Tags are supposed to be attached with rivets :stupid:
