Canadian Chevelle SSs

A friend in Saskatchewan has a buddy who recently picked up this car.
In 1966, the Chevelle SS in Canada was like previous years in the US, where it was more of a buckets/console car than a performance car. I think this was changed mid-year 1967 when the SS officially became an SS 396. This also was true of the Beaumont, as Sport Deluxe was initially sporty and later became sport including a standard 396. Please correct me if I'm wrong, Canadians! I know Charlie owns/owned a similar car to this. Makes no sense to have it vary from the American version, but apparently that's what they did. |
A friend has the exact same car. headrests 360hp convert. 65 emblems on quarters and a flat hood since new

OOH my my my!!! Such a rare car to begin with, an impressive option list (with headrests no less!) and those colors would be absolutely, over the top, stunning restored!!
Only way that could be better is three pedals and N96 covers!!! Bill W |
Are N96 covers the fake mags.
LOVE them, though I know they're polarizing. |
Damn, looks like you could just wash it and drive..:cool2:
Nice find ! |

Yes. No clue if a Canadian built Malibu would have them as an option. |

66 396 Canada..
Interesting car...had to take a look at Colvin's book about the 360hp with Holley and Powerglide...looks like they made them :confused2:
I would agree with the 'wash and drive' option if she is road worthy...very cool car. -wilma |
