Help Please Canada Shipping
 

I'm trying to ship a pair of used valve covers to a guy in Windsor. I had everything set up with UPS and then the paperwork thing hit https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

I have tried to set up the documents I think I need through the UPS online but I am having little luck.

Any suggestions or advice. The fellow in Windsor really needs them otherwise I would scrap the whole deal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Can any friends north help ????

US Postal Service is less of a hassle and it will save the guy some customs charges as well.

I just returned from Windsor,as I have family living near there in Amhersburg.
USPS is the ONLY company I use for international shipping.
You can also do yourself & others a favour & pick up a stack of their customs declarations labels to take home with you for next time.
Fill one out completely before you arrive next time,and watch the postal workers & customers behind you thank you out loud,as you have all your ducks in a row and don't have to make them wait for you.

UPS is a pain for shipping into Canada. A lot of Canadians who live near a border town will have a US mail drop to facilitae the larger itemd that wont ship USPS. USPS is the best way for anything under 25 lbs.

Looks like I should have asked first. I didn't think shipping to our friends north would involve so much paper. I love ups for the stuff I ship but it has all been US shipments.

See if their is bus line that goes up there. The cheapest shipping I found out is Greyhound.. I shipped a hood to NY from FL for under 200 dollars.
For ALL you guys shipping parts, check with Grayhound. You will be in shock at the prices and how easy it is to ship !!

UPS is a total rip off with thier duties and trumped up brokrage fees to canada

The above advice using good ol' US Postal Mail Service is truly the best way to get smaller things here to Canada..
It saves dough too being it avoids broker fees also duty on the less expensive items..

Rich, Greyhound is great for sheetmetal and bigger type parts but for little stuff I would ship UPS or USPS. I don't think I ever had trouble shipping to Canada UPS. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif I know I have to specify Canada when sending a USPS money order.
