White Christmas in the Pacific Northwest!
Merry Christmas everyone!
This is a very rare white Christmas in the Northwest! As of yesterday, we already had about 18" of snow on the ground in our neighborhood. And it has been snowing non-stop since we got up this morning! Here are a couple of pictures from INSIDE our house: Neighbor's Subaru half-buried http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/DSC_0716.jpg No Barbecue today! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/DSC_0718.jpg Plenty of "cushion" on that chair! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/DSC_0722.jpg Dishwasher's view of it all... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/DSC_0720.jpg MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HANNUKAH to the entire sYc family, and a prosperous New Year to all! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ouguysrock.gif -Sam and Sue Besser Lynnwood, WA |

Re: White Christmas in the Pacific Northwest!
I sent some X-mas flowers to a friend outside of Portland, Oregon. Got a message from the florist that they would have difficulties delivering it because of to much snow.
Here in the homeland of Santa we haven't seen any snow yet this year. I guess you got ours too over there. Jan |
Re: White Christmas in the Pacific Northwest!
Sam and all, I know for all the guys back east this would be normal, BUT as you alluded to, this is unusual for Western Wash to have snow lasting this long........
All my Camaros are warm and safe as I'm sure yours are. I live immediately south of Seattle in Renton. Sam lives north of Seattle in Lynnwood, probably 1 hour from me.... Work unloading ships at the Port of seattle is really slowed by these conditions regards to all, |
Re: White Christmas in the Pacific Northwest!
I worked up an appetite shoveling the driveway this afternoon. Ate like a horse at dinnertime. Took some Advil to calm the muscle groups I rediscovered...
Can't wait for the thaw. |
Re: White Christmas in the Pacific Northwest!
so Sam, do you own a shovel or do you have to go buy one ??

Re: White Christmas in the Pacific Northwest!
I lived in Seattle from '94 to '00. It snowed this much maybe once in that time (Christmas '98?). The city shuts down after a few inches.
