A guy has a 69 camaro for sale.......

its the call we get from time to time. Well mine came yesterday, went to see it today. heres the details..the good...69 RS coupe was 307 3 speed Azure turq, white houndstooth interior.manual steering, A/C...the bad, its now a race car..mini tubbed in the rear, stock frame rails but a 9 inch F##D rear and ladderbars, fuel cell, cage, gutted firewall, heater and controls but a solid main tub none the less.

I dont know the exctent of the rear frame work, car had two flat tires in the rear and is in a unlit barn on a gravel floor. Owner syas the rear suspension can be removed and returned to stock but I dont know. Has a small block/turbo 350 in it now..went mid 12's last time it ran..years ago!
whats it worth??, I have first shot..cool color combo?

What will you be doing with the car Albert? Perhaps a little racing? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

Anyway - if you are only going to "clean it up" and race it vs. restore to original will drive your costs.

I am/was looking for a project for my son and I to do together for him. The car is owned by a buddy of his and e is asking 10K for it..about 5K too much in my book..offered to buy it 4K without motor.trans combo as I have no inererst in the but he wont seperat them form the car..we shall see if the economic downturn (read recession) doesnt change his mind. I cant get the picture of Azure Turq and white W/RS out of my head. Its funny how stories change, the first I heard of this car was that is was a original BB RS SS car less motor and trans..now its gutted 307 manual trans A/C converted race car. Where it is stored there are two bulbes hanging from the cieling and a gravel floor. There were ATV parts all around, A painfully orignal 64 Impala convertable W/hydraulics https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif a Buik Astro??..kind of like a Monza, another race car though..but he is a decent kid (22) ad was kind enough to give me first shot as he is friends with my son. So we'll see what happens..still looking. Another neighbor has a 80 Camaro that looks decent enough, now where did I put his number.......

On the other cars that you are talking about...I think that you are referring to a Pontiac Astre? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif

Albert,

I'm thinking the Buick equivalent of a Chevy Monza was the Skyhawk https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif
