Interesting Little Motion Story
Found this on the 5thGen.org website:
"I've never seen a real Phase III on the street, but my uncle (1967 Beaumont 327 M-22, 373) had a buddy who worked at the docks in NYC. In 1974 this guy happened to be working when a 1974 Phase III Camaro and a 1974 Phase III Vega rumbled onto the docks both headed for a certain oil producing country. Before they got put in the container the drivers lined them up and showed the dock lads what a pair of 454's could do. Vega by a length ... according to my uncles friend." http://www.5thgen.org/forum/showthre...baldwin+motion |
Re: Interesting Little Motion Story
Vega with a 454, and Don Yenko said he thought the 427 Novas were lethal...

I smell a fish story on the docks. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif
No really, when the Vega's could hook and not break it was awesome. But I saw more on wreckers with broken members than running hard on the street. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif |
