Sox & Martin '65 Plymouth Belvedere II A/FX
My father took pictures of this Sox & Martin 1965 Plymouth Belvedere at the Eavers Classic Cars & Collectibles Museum in Staunton, Virginia (in 2008).

Is it likely that this is actually a clone? Also, I read that S&M had two different 1965 Plymouth Belvederes at the same time, though I haven't been able to find any pictures of one with Hilborn stacks (like the ones in the attached photos). Instead they all seem to have the 2x4 cross-ram Hemi manifold. The one picture I've found with Hilborn stacks is a clone. Also, was the nickname "Paper Tiger" given to just one of these cars, or both? Can anyone shed some light on the 1965 Sox & Martin Plymouths? |

The Turbo-Action shifter & the funnycar cage looks a little out of place,
but I don't know when the last time it was raced. Great pics of a great car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif |

Re: Sox & Martin '65 Plymouth Belvedere II A/FX
I just came across this article after looking through an "old" copy of Muscle Car Review (December, '08). The interior of the S&M '65 in the article is in quite the contrast to the museum cars interior. Since there were two '65s, this doesn't quite rule it out, but I'm wondering if the car was raced long after Sox was driving and it was heavily modified by a later owner (that's just guessing that Sox did drive both cars at the time) https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif

Re: Sox & Martin '65 Plymouth Belvedere II A/FX
The car in the museum is Roy Clark's old "Hee Haw Hemi" A/FX car from the mid-90's repainted to Sox & Martin colors.
