Manufacture codes

If # 1 was the designation for Chevrolet, what are the #'s for Pontiac, Olds and Buick ?

? # two...If a wheel was stamped"MI8" was that wheel made by Motor Wheel ? And what was the "I".

Thanks Mike https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

That's not an I, it's a 1 and it stands for the Motor Wheel plant at Romulus Michigan.

I oughta know the answer to first question but it's been a long time since I was getting the GM printouts when I was looking for hard to find parts. I think Pontiac was a 2, I seem to remember GMC was a 9..... I think the crs is kickin in again..... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

I need to correct myself. The M-1 Motor Wheel plant was in Lansing Michigan, not Romulus. The K-1 plant was The Kelsey Hayes wheel plant in Romulus. This hasn't been a good night for remembering. Good thing I can still look this stuff up. http://www.chevelles.com/forums/images/icons/icon11.gif
