Henry J Gasser
I was just at a friends restoration shop today and looked at this Henry J. I think it's a 1952. I took pictures of it and will show later.
I seems to have a lot of history. Anyone here know of this car? Kurt http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...onkling+shosie http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/n.../sideshot1.jpg |

Here is my 1951 "garage find" Henry J gasser that I picked up back in 05 for $400. Has since been on the back burner.

When Al Pfeifer quit Drag Racing after he broke a axle flange and barrel rolled the Willy's back in August of 68....he sold the Hemi Engine/Trans,Rims and Tires from the Willy's to Vail for installation in the Henry J.....

The house i grew up in, the previous owner was a racer ,in St Louis, behind the house, he stored a Henry J gasser, it had a running driving 63 fulie motor that was still injected...on the side of the car in gold leaf it said HENRY-VETTA...car was black, straight axle etc, i was too young to remeber it, but all of my older friends talked about it all the time, and said it was a street terror....cops where at the house all the time, it had open zoomies....

Re: Henry J Gasser
If you look close you can see numbers on the plexiglas windows. There is a 742 on the back window and the front windshield. I find it hard to believe the car ran a 7.42.....Maybe???
