1971 w30 convert survivors
I know there are 'olds' guys that come here to play, are their a lot of survivor w30s? my friend bought one and is flipping it, and I found out the air is rare, but not sure about how many are all original still. any opinions welcome, it should be hitting ebay soon. he has no idea how to price it, I told him make sure you know the survivor count if possible.

Re: 1971 w30 convert survivors
1971 W30 Convertables are like hens teeth due to a very low production number. Then survivor moves it up another couple of notches. If the powertrain is complete and everything is on the up and up, I have no idea, but I am guessing $150-175 area. I could be wet as a duck, but if this is a top grade survivor, it is a write-your-own number job. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif

John
Just logging on as you posted. Bob I am all ears, I have 2 of these cars and have kept a data base on them for years. Of the 110 built, I have records on 76. The car you speak of may be on my list. If you are comefortable give me more info here,or PM me to [email protected]. There arnt many survivors, using the definition all original paint, interior, driveline etc. Start with some basic info such as color combo or prev owner so I can provide more data. Paul |
Re: 1971 w30 convert survivors
thanks for the quick feedback. car is a cinnamon color with same color bucket interior, black top (marginal-ripped) and black stripes, chrome wheels, auto, 8track, air, documented. pretty much a survivor except for tires. I will ask him if its ok to pm you the window sticker and VIN.

Re: 1971 w30 convert survivors
Cool, post some pictures if you can get them. Maybe when he's ready to sell it.
Not the most desireable color combo (I've seen worse though). Wouldn't have chrome wheels. Although this can be easily corrected. That's definitely a good find. |
Re: 1971 w30 convert survivors
Paul, is the blue conv. in Valdosta on your list?
|
Re: 1971 w30 convert survivors
Where is. Voldosta, if its Florida, I do have a blue ragtop from that area.
On the subject of Chrome Rims on a 71,they were offered in the spring of 71 as a substitute for Ss1 as the regular wheel supplier was on strike. Paul |
Re: 1971 w30 convert survivors
