Classic Car Insurance Questions.

Well its about that time I finally look into getting some classic insurance. I just recently blew the dust off of this 1967 Mustang fastback 289 4 speed car I picked up back in 05 off the 3nd owner who owned it since 1976. I finally (this year) got around to redoing the brakes and a few other items to get it road worthy. The car is not perfect by any means and is a 100% driver. I am looking for suggestions on an insurance company. I want to be able to drive it anywhere I want, whenever I want. I know a lot of classic insurance companies don't allow that and have limitations. What does everyone have here for coverage? Suggestions? Here is the vehicle in question:

Thanks in advance.

MK Insurance is a sponser here on the site and is the company I use and highly recommend since I shopped around, asked alot of questions and was able to tailor my policy with them which was restricted and more money with the other companies. Good luck.....Pat https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

I use the Barrett Jackson Collector Car Insurance Servicing Company - The Delp Agency.

I have to say they have been great so far for me. I have not had a claim (thankfully) and the rates are excellent. After your first car all the added cars are very cheap. My COPO costs me $500 per year and my 2010 2SS Camaro was added and only costs me $146 a year. The only limitations are that you drive less than 2,000 miles a year and that you keep the insured cars in a garage when not in service.

i have had grundy for thirty years. inexpensive, no mileage restrictions. if its driver quality, you may be driving it more than the 2500 miles most companies give you. i have never had to make a claim, so i cant say how they pay but the people are great.

I have Hagerty and I am very happy with them. I have 4 cars insured with them and it is very reasonable. They know I drive my 2001 Camaro SS on the Power Tour Long Haul which usually ends up being about 3,200 miles for me and they have no problem with that. I unfortunately HAVE had a claim with them and it was extremely hassle-free and they sent money without hesitation.

+1 I have had em for many years too. One claim for a broken windshield and the process went perfect. Highly recommended
